چکیده مقاله:

The present research aims to investigate the effect of temperature in the ranges of ۲۵-۱۷۵ °C on the mechanical properties of the electrical steels as the lamination of electrical motors. The mechanical properties are including the tensile yield stress, ultimate tensile strength, and elongation at fracture. Tensile tests were conducted using a universal testing machine with a load cell of ۲۰۰ kgf. The accuracy class of the load cell was ۰.۵. The minimum number of repetitions was three. To measure the strain of specimens, a clip-on extensometer with an accuracy class of ۰.۵ was used. Specimens were prepared using the laser cutting method. Based on the standard test method of ASTM E۸ and due to the limitation of material, sub-size specimens were prepared. Results show that the temperature has a significant effect on the mechanical properties of electrical steels in the studied temperature ranges; the ultimate strength was decreased with increasing the temperature up to ۱۲۵°C, then it was increased with increasing the temperature up to ۱۷۵°C. The yield stress was continuously decreased with increasing the temperature.
