This research explores the multifaceted realm of solar desalination systems, with a focus on tilted wick solar stills, Fresnel lens integration, and a novel investigation into the performance of two distinct evaporator systems. The study meticulously examines temperature dynamics, evaporation rates, and radiation exposure to unravel the intricate interplay between surface conditions and thermal dynamics. Notably, one evaporator system incorporates a coal-soot-coated open surface, offering insights into the potential enhancement of evaporation efficiency. Concurrently, the integration of Fresnel lenses in solar still designs demonstrates promising outcomes, highlighting substantial improvements in distilled water yield and cost-effectiveness. The comprehensive analysis presented in this study contributes to the evolving discourse on surface engineering, providing a foundational understanding for advancements in environmentally sustainable desalination technologies. The experimental methodologies and findings presented not only advance our comprehension of solar-driven evaporation systems but also pave the way for practical applications in environmental engineering and renewable energy research.
