چکیده مقاله:

The present study aimed to predict exam anxiety through academic self-regulation among elementary school students in online classes during covid-۱۹ pandemic. The statistical population included all second-period elementary school students in Khonj city in ۱۴۰۱/۲۰۲۲. To select the participants, the stage cluster sampling was implemented. The research participants included ۲۰۰ students (۱۰۰ boys and ۱۰۰ girls). The items included a test anxiety questionnaire by Abolghasemi et al. (۱۳۷۵/۱۹۹۸) and an academic self-regulation inventory by Ryan and Connell (۱۹۸۷). To check the research hypotheses, Pearson’s correlation analysis and simultaneous regression procedures were used. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the external self-regulation subscale and test anxiety; there is a negative and significant relationship between the integrated and identified self-regulation subscale and test anxiety, on the other hand, although there is a positive relationship between the introjected self-regulation subscale and test anxiety, it is not significant. The result of regression analysis showed that the dimensions of academic self-regulation are predictors of exam anxiety and the identified self-regulation is the strongest predictor of exam anxiety.
