چکیده مقاله:
Due to the high importance and wide application of steels in modern industries, as well as the emergence of advanced machining methods such as wire EDM, there is a need to investigate the effect of parameters on material properties. In the industry, simultaneously improving the surface and mechanical properties of components, in addition to machining, is very attractive. Therefore, the selection of machining parameters and conditions that satisfy both objectives and reduce costs is essential and supported by all industries. In this research, samples made of CK۴۵ steel were manufactured using the wire EDM method to enhance surface properties, and the effects of cutting speed and current parameters on surface characteristics, including hardness, and wear, were discussed. it can be stated that in the wire-cutting process, a type of heat treatment operation has occurred, which has hardened the surface of the part and made its core softer.
