چکیده مقاله:

In this research, numerical modeling was utilized to assess the feasibility of forging the female hinge of Peugeot ۲۰۶ car. In the design of the forging part and the geometry of the mold cavity, considerations were given to the parting line position, wall draft angles, edge fillets, dimensions of the flash land and gutter, and the CAD model of the dies was implemented. The material behavior model included viscoplasticity, and upper and lower dies were considered elastic. As a result of the analysis, along with calculating stress and strain components, the load-stroke curve of the process was obtained. The process force was also estimated using classical methods, representing ۴.۱% of the calculated force in numerical simulation. This difference can be attributed to simplifying the neglect of friction effects and using the average strain rate instead of the momentary strain rate. Comparing the geometry of the deformed material in simulation with the product of the forging process confirms the acceptable accuracy of the simulation. By examining the formation of the flash around the piece and also the parameter of the minimum distance between various points of the specimen, the die cavity wall, the accuracy of the initial material estimation was determined.
