Analysis Of Scientific Productions In The Field Of Application Of The Internet Of Things In Government Services Of Scopus Database: A Bibliometric Approach

One of the most used areas in the field of information technology and government services is the Internet of Things technology. So far, various studies have been conducted in this field. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze and review the studies conducted in the field of the use of the Internet of Things in government services in the Scopus database in the period from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۴. The current study is applied research and was conducted with a review method and using the scientometric method and the technique of co-citation analysis. Therefore, all research with the keywords "IOT", "internet of things", "IoT", "e-government", "electronic government", "smart government", “e-governance”, “governance”, “smart governance”, “government “, “governance”, and “public service” from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۴ from Scopus databases. Vosviewer and Excel software were used for the analysis. The results obtained from the study showed that most publications in the field of Internet of Things applications in government services in the Scopus database belong to India. Also, co-occurrence analysis with a minimum repetition of ۱۰ was used to investigate the most commonly used keywords. Among the keywords, Internet of Things, smart city, blockchain, and security took the first to fourth place. The “IEEE Internet of Things Journal” with ۸۳۹۴ citations and ۶۶ documents has the record of the first rank among magazines in the publishing of the use of IOT in government services.
