A significant family of non-parametric learning strategies for resolving difficultregression problems including non-linear patterns is represented by the Spline-based regression.Penalized parametric regression is a statistical approach for regression analysis aimed atenhancing model performance by introducing penalty terms into the regression equation. Bycombining these two techniques we model relationships between variables using a regressiontechnique that call semi-parametric regression.
