چکیده مقاله:
Skin senescence, characterized by chronological and photoaging-induced changes, is a major concern in the field of dermatology. The development of effective and safe interventions for skin senescence has become a prominent area of research, with nanotherapeutics emerging as a promising approach. Nanotherapeutics offer several advantages, including targeted delivery, enhanced stability, controlled release, and improved penetration into the skin. This comprehensive review aims to provide a detailed overview of the recent advancements in nanotherapeutics for senotherapy of skin senescence. We discuss about liposomes nanocarrier systems. Additionally, we highlight the diverse classes of senolytic agents, including small molecules, peptides, and natural compounds like flavonoids or phenolic compounds , that can be incorporated into nanotherapeutic formulations. Furthermore, we delve into preclinical and clinical studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of nanotherapeutics in mitigating skin senescence. We also address challenges and future perspectives in the field, including regulatory considerations and the need for personalized nanotherapeutic approaches. Overall, this review underscores the immense potential of nanotherapeutics as a novel senotherapeutic strategy for rejuvenating aging skin and provides insights into the future directions of skin senescence research.
