چکیده مقاله:

Microalgae are a group of photosynthetic eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms that synthesize aset of bioactive compounds that enable them to survive in harsh environmental conditions. Thesecompounds have various health properties, including anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic,and antioxidant properties, etc. One of these compounds is astaxanthin, which is a natural betacarotenewith various therapeutic properties. Staxanthin is the most powerful natural antioxidantknown and its use in the cosmetic and food industries is increasing day by day. However, despite thementioned advantages, the low bioavailability, poor solubility, and chemical instability of thiscompound have made its use in the industry difficult. Nanotechnology as a promising solution insolving the problems related to the stability and bioavailability of this compound is very promisingand in addition to solving the problems related to its bioavailability and instability, it has alsoimproved its health properties in some cases. However, the use of nanoparticle systems in medicalapplications requires more clinical research to prove its safety. This research is a review of thestudies conducted on the properties of astaxanthin and its carrier nanoparticles. In addition, thegeneral properties of bioactive compounds have also been investigated.
