چکیده مقاله:
Background: Contradictory findings regarding plasma levels of adiponectin and nesfatin-۱ in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) have caused confusion among researchers. this update systematic review aimed to investigate the serum levels of adiponectin and nesfatin-۱ in PCOS patients.Materials & Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, Science Direct, Embase, and SID (an Iranian database) to identify relevant studies. In accordance with the PRISMA steps, the following keywords and their combinations were used: Adiponectin, Nesfatin-۱, and PCOS.Results: A total of ۲۸ high-quality articles were identified, of which ۲۳ were related to adiponectin (Four reported no significant association and ۱۹ reported a negative and significant association with PCOS) and ۵ articles were related to Nesfatin-۱ (۴ reported a negative and significant association and one reported no association). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that levels of adiponectin and nesfatin-۱ hormones may be appropriate predictors of PCOS.
