چکیده مقاله:

The relationship between the expression of CC۴۹, a tumor-associated glycoprotein, and outcomes following colorectal cancer surgery has garnered significant interest in recent years. This study aims to elucidate the prognostic value of CC۴۹ in patients undergoing surgical resection for colorectal cancer. A cohort of ۳۰۰ patients was evaluated for CC۴۹ expression through immunohistochemical analysis of tumor samples collected during surgery. The results indicated that high CC۴۹ expression was significantly correlated with poorer overall survival and increased recurrence rates. Multivariate analysis confirmed CC۴۹ as an independent predictor of adverse outcomes, even after adjusting for traditional risk factors such as tumor stage, lymph node involvement, and patient comorbidities. Additionally, patients with elevated CC۴۹ levels showed a reduced response to adjuvant chemotherapy. These findings suggest that CC۴۹ could serve as a valuable biomarker for identifying high-risk patients who may benefit from more aggressive post-surgical management and tailored therapeutic strategies. Further research is warranted to explore the underlying mechanisms by which CC۴۹ influences tumor behavior and to validate these results in larger, prospective studies.
