Acquisition and Change in First Language Acquisition

First language (L۱) acquisition studies have evoked a significant deal of research inboth linguistic and cognitive science. A relatively good number of studies havebeen conducted over the past decades to illuminate how L۱ or child languageacquisition mechanism takes place. Accordingly, the present review aimed atexploring the mechanisms children rely on as they acquire language, how they gothrough the developmental stages, and how continuity and change go hand in handin L۱ acquisition.
