This paper explores two-dimensional heat transfer phenomena between circular isothermal cylinder at the center of a square solid bar of the same length. The cylinder acts as the focal point for investigating temperature profiles and heat power transfer within this complex thermal system. The simulation and analysis are carried out using ANSYS Fluent, a powerful computational fluid dynamics tool integrated into the ANSYS Workbench environment. The study thoroughly examines the temperature profile, thermal energy exchange, and the impact of mesh configuration on result accuracy. The Shape Factor Method is employed to validate the heat transfer analysis's precision. This method provides a robust framework for evaluating steady-state two-dimensional heat transfer processes. The research presents its findings graphically, illustrating the relationship between heat power and that calculated through the Shape Factor Method. Remarkably, regression analysis reveals a striking proximity to a value of unity, confirming the simulation's high level of accuracy. This study substantially contributes to our understanding of two-dimensional heat transfer processes and offers a dependable methodology for simulating similar thermal systems using ANSYS Fluent. The implications of these findings extend to various engineering and industrial applications where precise heat transfer analysis plays a crucial role.
