چکیده مقاله:

Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECCs), also known as bendable concrete, are special type offiber-reinforced materials that possess strain-hardening capabilities and compared to materials such asFRPs, have far higher bending and tensile strengths. The tests carried out in this study include slump tests,as well as tests concerning the mechanical properties of hardened concrete, namely compressive tests, bending tests. The results show that the mixture design containing ۷۵% PVA fibers has the highest averagecompressive strength, yielding ۲۸-day and ۹۰-day compressive strengths of ۷۲.۱۸ MPa and ۸۸.۸۴ MPa,respectively. The highest ۲۸-day and ۹۰-day bending strengths are equal to, respectively, ۱۲.۸۵ MPa and۱۴.۹۱ MPa, and correspond to the mixture design with ۱% of fiber content. These values indicate an increaseof roughly ۲۷.۷۵% compared to the control mixture design. Adding fibers to the mixture improves thetensile strength and hardening behavior of ECCs. Considering that the material is used instead of cement,it can be called green concrete.
