چکیده مقاله:

Passive microseismic surveys have some fascinating applications, especially in the fields ofgeophysics and seismology. By deploying passive sensors, scientists can gather data on the subtlevibrations and movements within the Earth's crust, helping to understand seismic hazards andimprove earthquake prediction models. Another significant application is in the exploration ofsubsurface structures, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Passive microseismic monitoring isemployed to detect and locate microseismic events generated during hydraulic fracturing(fracking) processes. The method of low-frequency seismic sounding (LFSS) is based onanalyzing spectral properties of low-frequency (۱-۱۰ Hz) natural seismic background, changingabove oil deposits. The effect of change in the low-frequency range of natural microseismicbackground above oil and gas deposits has been known since the ۱۹۹۰s and it has been observedin various oil and gas regions.
