OBSTACLES TO THE CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SMART CITY INFRASTRUCTURE IN IRAN

As a new concept in the field of sustainable and advanced cities, the smart city improves the ability to communicate and coordinate between humans, technology and the environment. This idea is based on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to improve the quality of life of citizens, improve urban management and reduce energy and resource consumption. However, in countries like Iran, the creation and development of smart city infrastructure faces challenges such as financial problems, lack of coordination between the government and the private sector, technical and technological problems, legal and environmental problems, and security problems. These obstacles can delay the implementation of smart city projects and miss great opportunities for sustainable and advanced development of cities. In this research, obstacles to the creation and development of smart city infrastructure in Iran have been investigated.
