Epidemiologic evaluation of the blunted heart rate response in chronic kidney disease and its associated factors in the myocardial perfusion imaging using the Dipyridamole stress method

چکیده مقاله:
Background: previous studies on HRR were mostly done in diabetic patients. In this study, we aimed to evaluate HRR in ESRD patients and its correlation with MPI findings and patients’ prognosis.
Methods: The present study was conducted on patients with chronic kidney disease who had visited Shahid Hashminejad Hospital between October ۱, ۲۰۱۸ and September ۳۱, ۲۰۱۱. Before the stress test, at rest (rest for ۳ minutes and in supine position), electrocardiogram, blood pressure and heart rate were recorded and then dipyridamole with an approximate dose of ۰.۵۶ mg per kilogram of the patient's body weight in ۲۰ mg A liter of normal saline was diluted and injected in ۴ minutes as an infusion with electrocardiogram monitoring. After the start of dipyridamole injection, the patient's heart rate was recorded at ۲-minute intervals. ۳ minutes after the completion of dipyridamole injection, radiopharmaceutical was injected. Finally, after the findings of the myocardial perfusion scan
Results: summed stress score, summed rest score had a significant relationship with female gender and EF with male gender (P<۰.۰۵). These findings were not significantly related to patients' age and disease history (P>۰.۰۵). There was no significant difference in the incidence of blunted HRR in patients with cardiac events by age, gender, and renal disease condition (P>۰.۰۵).
Conclusions: The frequency of blunted heart rate response in patients with chronic kidney disease based on various variables was determined for the first time in the country in the present study, which can be considered as an introduction for future researches
