چکیده مقاله:

Differentiable cells and Self-renewable cells, or stem cells are cells with high potential to repair tissue damage. Therefore, the use of stem cells is a promising method for treating damage to brain tissue because of neurological disorders including stroke. Animal studies have shown that different types of stem cells, such as mesenchymal stem cells, embryonic stem cells, neural stem cells, and inducible pluripotent stem cells have beneficial effects on stroke recovery. The healing process may be due to replacement with modulation of inflammation, neuroprotective effects, damaged cells, endogenous neurogenesis, immune response, and angiogenesis. In recent years, many scientists and doctors have taken a special look at stem cell-based methods because of their therapeutic effect on stroke. Although several clinical studies have shown that stem cells are very effective and safe in the treatment of stroke, some key issues must be considered. The localization of these cells, tracking, survival, safety, and cell transplantation protocol, such as the amount of use, and the time frame, are some of the challenges of stem cell-based therapy. Therefore, stem cell-based therapy can be mentioned as a potential new approach for stroke treatment. However, further studies need to be done to improve the efficiency of this method. In this review article, a summary of current concerns and knowledge regarding the use of stem cells in post-stroke recovery is reviewed.
