Defining The Strategic Alignment of Information Technology with Organizational Strategy in Social Security Hospitals of Zanjan Province of Iran

In today's world, full of fluctuations, and changes, the success of organizations vitally depends on the unity and Alignment of all the components of the organization in line with its Strategic objectives. Given the significant investment that organizations are now making in the field of Information Technology, it is critical to use Information Technology as a Strategic resource to achieve their Strategic goals. This study was conducted to investigate the influencing factors on the Strategic Alignment of Information Technology and the strategies of Social Security hospitals in Zanjan province. Also, in this study, the level of Strategic Alignment of Information Technology with organizational strategies in Social Security hospitals of Zanjan province has been evaluated. Sampling of managers of Social Security hospitals in the province was done using a questionnaire. SPSS and PLS software were used for data analysis and descriptive and inferential analyses were performed. Study results show that Social Security hospitals are in the fourth level of Strategic Alignment of Information Technology and Business. Based on these results, the perspective and strategy for improving the level of Strategic Alignment in these organizations is to move toward the fifth level of Strategic Alignment. For this purpose, there is a need to develop appropriate partial strategies to improve the level of Strategic Alignment in these organizations.
