In recent years, RFID has been used in many industries and service tasks due to its low cost, ease of use, and practical applications. However, to achieve a daily technology, the security of RFID systems should be considered and considered as a basic requirement. The purpose of this article was to provide an optimal model to improve the security of RFID-based Internet of Things authentication protocols, for its operation, a developed security algorithm for Internet of Things authentication was presented and implemented in Matlab software. The ultimate goal is to enable enhanced security for RFID systems to transmit encrypted identifiers for the Internet of Things. This paper specifically focused on the transmission between the RFID tag and the reader. The algorithm is a basic XOR with a bitshift and random number implementation that verifies ReaderID and TagID between devices before sharing information. Added a random number range hit as an improvement on tag vulnerability regardless of whether the reader is authorized or not. The corresponding image of the algorithm execution diagram is provided in order to provide an in-depth explanation. The results showed that the presented protocol has the two characteristics of high security and low computational load, which are essential for a secure encryption protocol.
