چکیده مقاله:

The issue of matching the design with reality is considered as one of the basic challenges in engineeringdesigns and many engineers have made valuable efforts to evaluate, measure, and improve this match. In the field of transportation engineering, for the planning of the transportation network, routecorridors are facing this challenge in the study phase, the implementation phase, and the operationalphase. The deviation factor and directness index indicate the degree of conformity of the route that isdesigned in the phase of transportation studies with what is finally implemented in reality, and theaverage deviation angle indicates the relative deviation of each point of the route, which is used as atool for evaluation and measurement Taking this issue can be used. In this article, the basic conceptsregarding these two factors along with the experimental limitations of the real examples are presentedto be used in the evaluation of the designs
