Convergent-divergent nozzles are an important tool in the design of jet engines. These nozzles areused to increase the exit gas velocity from the engine and improve their performance. In a convergentdivergentnozzle, gases are transferred from a converging conical space to a diverging straight space.This change in the shape of the nozzle space increases the gas velocity and creates thrust. In this study,numerical simulation of the convergent-divergent nozzle has been performed using fluent software.The nozzle under study has been investigated at four different lengths of ۴۰, ۵۰, ۶۰, and ۷۰ millimetersin the divergent section at various angles, while the length in the convergent section remainedconstant. The results obtained from the simulation indicate the Mach number at the optimal length andspecific angle in the divergent region, and show the Mach number associated with the optimalperformance of the nozzle under different conditions. This study identifies the specific length andangle of the convergent-divergent nozzle at which it can have better performance.
