چکیده مقاله:
The poetic journey of Persian to India began in the backdrop of Indo-Persian shared history andheritage. India and Iran have been the lands of ancient sacred texts namely the Vedas and Avesta.The poetry of Rumi found a second home in medieval India. Rulers of slave dynasty came to rule inIndia, but it was Persian which ruled over the hearts of millions of people in South Asia. Renaissancedawned upon India during the Timurid rule and gave birth to new ideas .Poets such as Faizi, Kalim,Bedil, Ghalib and Iqbal enriched the treasure trove of Indo Persian poetry. Indian poetry was bestrepresented by Tagore contain Sufi thoughts and expressions.
