چکیده مقاله:

Here The study compared rumination—repetitive cognitive processes—in individuals with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to examine differences in content, triggers, emotional intensity, and clinical outcomes. Conducted with ۱۰۰ participants from specialized clinical settings, half diagnosed with GAD and half with PTSD, the research utilized standard rumination questionnaires alongside other assessments. Findings revealed higher overall rumination levels in GAD subjects, emphasizing future-oriented worries and everyday stressors, while PTSD individuals displayed heightened emotional intensity in their rumination, indicative of trauma-related reactivity. These nuanced distinctions underscored the need for tailored interventions for each disorder. Limitations included the study's cross-sectional design and sample recruitment from clinical settings, suggesting caution in generalizing findings. Nonetheless, recognizing distinct rumination features in GAD and PTSD could enhance symptom management and overall quality of life. Further research, including longitudinal studies, is needed to deepen understanding of rumination's role in these disorders and its implications for treatment outcomes.
