چکیده مقاله:

The presence of pathogenic plant fungi on agricultural products leads to a lot of financial damage.Various strategies are used to control these pathogens. The most common strategy is the use of chemicalsolutions that cause destructive damage to the ecosystem. In this investigation, the use of endophyticyeasts as a biological control agent were studied in order to control post-harvest diseases of tomato fruitsand maintain their nutritional value. Antagonistic yeasts were isolated from healthy tomato fruits andpurified. The identification of the selected isolates was confirmed based on the D۱/D۲ region of ۲۸SrRNA gene. Yeast isolates were evaluated in terms of controlling Alternaria solani and A. alternate invitro condition. Yeast isolates were evaluated by dual-culture method while ۶ isolates inhibited themycelium growth of Alternaria solani and A. alternate. The ability of promising yeast isolates to colonizethe surfaces of fruits in different temperature conditions (۴ and ۲۴ ̊C) for two weeks showed that isolateKabatiela microsticta prevented the growth of the mycelium of the fungus by reducing the fruit rotsymptom by creating a distinct zone.
