SYNTHESIS OF ۲-IMINOCHROMENES CATALYZED BY Boron Nitride Nanosheets AS AN EFFICIENT AND REUSABLE CATALYST

Efficient and convenient synthesis of N-alkyl-۲-imino-۲H-chromene-۳-carboxamides by reaction of N-alkyl-۲-cyanoacetamides with salicylaldehydes using Boron Nitride Nanosheets as a green and reusable catalyst under is described. The catalyst is inexpensive and readily available and could be efficiently used at least five times without substantial reduction in its catalytic activity. High activity of the catalyst, excellent yields, short reaction times, and simple procedure with an easy work-up are other advantages of the present methodology.
