Synthesis of Poly Substituted Pyridines via Reactions of N-Sulfonyl ketenimine and Malononitrile-Trichloroacetonitrile Adduct

Synthesis of poly substituted pyridines has been developed via the one pot four-component reaction of sulfonyl azides, terminal alkynes, and malononitrile-trichloroacetonitrile adduct catalyzed by copper(I) iodide in THF in moderate to good yields. And also, copper-catalyzed C(aryl)-N bond formation reaction products with various aryl halides in acetonitril, under mild reaction conditions, free ligand at room temperature is reported.
