چکیده مقاله:
Herbal medicine has received great attention as promising approach for cancer treatment
owning to their natural base and minimal side-effects. In this research, the potential application
of chitosan-alginate nanoparticles (NPs) extracted from Ferula Gummosa Gum in colon cancer
were investigated. Phenol and flavonoid content of the plant were measured to identify the
antioxidant potential of the F. Gummosa Gum. Moreover, MTT and wound healing analysis
were conducted on the cancer cells to evaluate the performance of the Chitosan-Alginate NPs
extracted from F. Gummosa Gum in colon cancer treatment. According to the results, ۵۰
μg/mL of F. Gummosa Gum contains ۸.۹ mgEGA and ۲.۸ mgEQ of phenol and flavonoid.
IC۵۰s ۴۸h of Chitosan-Alginate NP was recorded as ۴.۴۶۲ μg/mL. The wound healing results
revealed that the Chitosan-Alginate NP at concentration over IC۵۰ could efficiently affect the
colon cancer cells migration disability. This study suggests Chitosan-Alginate NP extracted
from Ferula Gummosa Gum has high potential for colon cancer treatment.
