چکیده مقاله:

Objective: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of couples therapy based on coping therapy on psychological well-being, increasing negotiation and reducing aggression in women victims of spouse violence. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of the study included couples referred to counseling and psychotherapy centers of Qom city during the second six months of ۲۰۲۱, among which ۳۰ post-control couples entered the inclusion criteria, divided into two treatments based on coping (۱۵ couples) and control group (۱۵ couples) randomly. Research instruments included Strauss et al. Conflict Resolution Tactics Questionnaire (۱۹۷۹) and Ryff's psychological well-being questionnaire (۱۹۸۹) that were available to women as victims of violence and were measured in three stages of pretest, post-test and follow-up. The coping-based group received the educational package of Aghayousefi et al. (۲۰۲۰) for ۸ sessions and the control group received no intervention. Data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that coping-based couple therapy was effective in reducing aggression, increasing negotiation and increasing psychological well-being of women victims of violence (P<۰.۰۵) and this effect was reported in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest evidence that couples therapy based on coping therapy is an appropriate method for solving conflicts and improving psychological well-being.Objective: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of couples therapy based on coping therapy on psychological well-being, increasing negotiation and reducing aggression in women victims of spouse violence.
