چکیده مقاله:
Background & objectives: We aimed to compare sexual function and body image among cervical cancer survivors. Materials & Methods: Between August ۱, ۲۰۱۶, and January ۳۱, ۲۰۱۹, we conducted a prospective study with ۱۰۴ participants. The FSFI and the FACT-Cx v.۴.۰ (B۴-C۷) were the measurement tools. Results: Forty-seven and twelve percent reported sexual activity, with the surgical group considerably less sexually active than the non-surgical group (۶۳% vs. ۱۰۰%, P=۰.۰۰۰۳). Throughout the follow-up, we found no significant changes in sexual function (P>۰.۰۵). A diagnosis of sexual dysfunction was made in ۶۰.۵۸% of cervical cancer survivors, ۸۰.۶۵% following surgery alone, and in ۱۰۰% after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In comparison with survivors who did not receive radiotherapy, irradiated survivors had lower FSFI total scores (۱.۲ vs. ۲۱.۴, P T۱=۰.۰۰۰۱; ۲.۱ vs. ۲۱.۷۵, P T۲=۰.۰۰۰۲). In comparison with the non-chemotherapy group, the chemotherapy group's scores were considerably lower (۱.۲ vs. ۲۱.۱۵, P T۱ <۰.۰۰۰۱; ۲.۴ vs. ۱۸.۹۵, P T۲=۰.۰۰۴). We detected no significant changes in body image scores (P=۰.۱۸۴). Except for T۱ time assessment (۲ vs. ۳, P T۱=۰.۰۱۶), no differences in body image between the surgical and non-surgical groups were found throughout the follow-up (P T۲=۰.۹۹۲; P T۳=۰.۲۰۷; P T۴=۰.۱۳۹). Conclusions: The rate of female sexual dysfunction was ۶۰.۵۸%, prevailing after therapeutic multimodality, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Throughout the follow-up, we discovered no significant changes in sexual activity and function, or in body image. In terms of body image, there were no significant differences between the surgical and non-surgical groups.
