چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is globally recognized as the third most prevalent and fourth most fatalcancer. Despite advancements in chemotherapy and surgical interventions, the survival rates for CRC patientsremain suboptimal, highlighting the pressing necessity for innovative preventative strategies. Long non-codingRNAs (lncRNAs) are RNA molecules exceeding ۲۰۰ nucleotides in length, most of which do not undergotranslation into proteins. These non-coding RNAs have been associated with various human pathologicalconditions. LncRNA LINC۰۰۸۵۸, a recently discovered lncRNA located in ۱۰q۲۳.۱, has been reported to bedysregulated in several cancers. However, a comprehensive review of this lncRNA in the context of CRC iscurrently lacking. Thus, the objective of this systematic review is to evaluate its potential role in the developmentof CRC.Search Method: A systematic search of electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Sciencewas carried out to identify relevant studies published between ۲۰۱۷ and ۲۰۲۳. Search terms encompassed"colorectal cancer," "colorectal neoplasm”, and “LINC۰۰۸۵۸”. A total of ۳۴ articles were included in this reviewand after screening, ۸ studies meeting the inclusion criteria were chosen for further analysis. Conclusion: The research findings indicate a substantial upregulation of LINC۰۰۸۵۸ expression in colorectaltumor tissues when compared to adjacent normal tissues. Elevated levels of LINC۰۰۸۵۸ have been associatedwith the facilitation of cell development, proliferation, metastasis, differentiation, and migration in CRC.Conversely, the downregulation of LINC۰۰۸۵۸ has shown potential in suppressing CRC cell proliferation, possibly leading to G۰/G۱ phase arrest and apoptosis. Overall, these observations emphasize the significantoverexpression of LINC۰۰۸۵۸ in CRC, suggesting a likely correlation between high LINC۰۰۸۵۸ expression, clinical development, and poor prognosis
