چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Caring for Alzheimer's patients is stressful and challenging for Alzheimer caregivers. Theexperiences that caregivers can gain from caregiving depend on their ability to manage caregiving stress andcope with that situation, which is influenced by various factors, including socioeconomic status andpsychological characteristics of the caregivers. Methods: A cross-sectional research design was used. Data were collected through an online survey usingGoogle form between July to December ۲۰۲۱. In total, ۴۳۵ family caregivers participated in this study. The pathanalysis was performed using AMOS software version ۲۷.Results: The results show that care challenges negatively affect hardiness and stress management in familycaregivers. Also, care stress management has a positive effect on hardiness, and it mediated the indirect effectsof carer challenges on hardiness. Conclusion: Based on these results, ۸۵% of Iranian family caregivers' hardines is explained by three factors:care stress management, care challenges and stressful factors. Therefore, the researchers and therapists canimprove the hardiness of family caregivers and reduce the care burden by focusing on care challenges and stressmanagement skills.
