چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: According to the conditions of the society, researches show that social damages are increasing.Suicide has been on the rise, especially among teenagers.Purpose: The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between ruminationand emotion regulation with suicide attempts among adolescents (۱۳ to ۱۸ years old) in Bandar Abbas city. Methods: The statistical population of this research included all teenagers (boys and girls) who tried to commitsuicide. The research sample consisted of ۱۰۰ teenagers from Bandar Abbas city, who were selected throughconvenience sampling. In this research, the Cognitive Regulation of Emotion Questionnaire (CERQ, the Nalenand Hoeksma Rumination Questionnaire, and the Adolescent Suicidality Questionnaire (ASQ) were used tocollect data. And to analyze the collected data, the correlation coefficient was used. Pearson and regression wereused simultaneously, and SPSS-۲۶ statistical software was used for data analysis. Conclusion: The results of the analysis of the main research hypotheses showed that the correlation valueobtained between rumination and attempted suicide was statistically positive and significant (p<. /۰۰۱). Thismeans that with an increase in the amount of rumination among teenagers, the possibility of committing suicideincreases among them. Also, the correlation value obtained for emotion regulation (total) was statisticallynegative and significant (p<. /۰۰۱); This means that there is a negative relationship between the variable ofemotion regulation (total) and adolescent suicide attempt, and the relationship between suicide attempt and thesubscales of positive refocus/planning, positive evaluation/broader perspective, and acceptance is alsostatistically negative. And it was meaningful. Further, the subscales of blaming others, self-blame andrumination also showed a positive and significant relationship. Finally, the results of the regression coefficientsshowed that among the regression input variables, both the rumination and emotion regulation variables werestatistically significant (p<. /۰۰۱). and could predict the client's suicide attempt. The important point is thatamong the input variables, the rumination variable was a positive predictor and the emotion regulation variablewas a negative predictor for the suicide attempt variable. Couclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded thatpsychological factors such as rumination and emotional regulation play an essential role in the incidence ofsuicide attempts among adolescents.
