چکیده مقاله:
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVESThe aim of this study was to compare the microbial colonization of ۱۰ types of microorganismsin the mucosal sulcus around healthy and infected implants.MATERIALS AND METHODSIn this cross-sectional study, ۸ patients with two to three implants restored with screwedrestorations and ۳ years of follow-up, and with inclusion criteria were selected. Each of thesepatients had healthy and infected implants. Samples were taken under controlled conditionsfrom the mucosal sulcus around the healthy and infected implants and the gingival sulcus ofthe adjacent tooth. Then it was sent to the laboratory to determine the presence of ۱۰microorganisms and underwent Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The results were evaluatedby stata ۱۱ software.RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONThe highest frequency of bacteria in the adjacent healthy tooth group belonged toCampylobacter rectus, Prevotella intermedia, Fusobacterium nukleatum andEikenella corrodens and in the group of healthy screwed implants belonged to Prevotellaintermedia bacteria, Eikenella corrodens and Fusobacterium nucleatum and in the groupof infected implants belonged to Prevotella intermedia, Eikenella corrodens,Fusobacterium nucleatum Treponema denticola and the lowest frequency of bacteria inall ۳ regions belonged to Capnocytophaga. It was not possible to calculate the significancelevel for any of the bacteria except in Tanerella forsythia (P<۰.۰۵).CONCLUSIONAccording to the results of this study, the total frequency of bacteria in infected screwedimplants is higher than healthy screw implants. Also, there was not much difference betweenthe presence of bacteria in the healthy tooth adjacent to the screwed and the healthy screwedimplant.
