Growth and yield response of mungbean (Vignaradiata L.) as influenced by sulphur and boron application

The present investigation was carried out at the Agronomy Research Field, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh in ۲۰۱۴ to evaluate the growth and yield response of mungbean to different sulfur and boron levels. It was designed in a randomized complete block design (factorial concept) with three replications. In this study yield traits and yield of mungbean was influenced by different levels of sulfur (S۰=۰, S۱=۲۲.۲۲ and S۲=۴۴.۴۴kg ha-۱) and boron (B۰=۰, B۱=۱.۰and B۲=۲.۰kg ha-۱). The maximum plant height (۳۹.۶۳ cm), root length (۸.۵۵ cm), total pods per plant (۸.۲۲), pod length (۶.۸۳ cm), number grains per pod (۶.۶۶), grain yield (۱.۶۰ t ha-۱), biological yield (۲.۲۱t ha-۱) and harvest index (۷۲.۲۵%) were recorded from the combined application of ۲۲.۲۲ kg ha-۱ sulphur and ۲.۰ kg ha-۱ boron.
