چکیده مقاله:

The HIV virus has been one of the most widely studied viruses in history, which was first observed in ۱۹۸۱ in the United States. This disease is caused by human retrovirus III.This virus disrupts the body's immune system and leads to AIDS. This virus can integrate into the host's gene and remain until the end of the cell's life.HIV can be transmitted through sexual contact, blood, mother-to-child transmission, injecting drug addiction, and tattoos.Recent studies and research show that the possibility of treating this disease through the CRISPR system has been somewhat successful. In this system, evolutionarily conserved sequences are targeted to minimize viral escape. The HIV virus has special genes for converting RNA to DNA, which include tat and rev. In recent studies, targeting rev crRNA has been shown to potently suppress HIV in persistently infected T cells.Another study showed that CRISPR_cas۱۳a targets viral RNA and inhibits HIV production and infection. There are other ways to evade the virus, such as adding a gene that codes for neutralizing antibodies. We can also minimize viral escape through Cas۱۲a and cas۹.Gene editing techniques via CRISPR_CAS have been widely used to target DNA in eukaryotic cells and represent a promising strategy to achieve HIV treatment.
