چکیده مقاله:

In the present work, transparent yttria (Y۲O۳) specimens were produced by spark plasmasintering at identical temperature and heating rate but with different pressures. Relative densityof the sintered body was measured by the Archimedes method. Both sides of the sintered bodieswere mirror-polished. Afterward they were annealed in an electrical furnace in air atmosphereat ۱۰۵۰ ℃ for ۶ hours. Optical properties of mirror-polished samples were measured beforeand after annealing by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Y۲O۳ sample whichwas sintered at ۱۳۰۰℃ and annealed at ۱۰۵۰℃ has ۹۹.۹۴% theoretical density, showing۶۱.۲۶% at a wavelength of ۵.۳۹ 𝜇𝜇m.
