In order to investigate the impact of accelerated aging and nano-silica dioxide particles on mitigating seed deterioration on germination, growth, and physiological indices of paper pumpkin plants under salinity stress, an experimental study was conducted in two stages at the Seed Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Shahid University in ۱۳۹۶. The first stage was carried out in a factorial design with three replications. The factors in the first experiment included nano-silica at three levels (۰, ۲.۰, ۴.۰ milligrams per liter of SiO۲) and controlled aging at four time intervals (۰, ۲۴, ۴۸, and ۷۲ hours at ۴۱ degrees Celsius). The results of the analysis of variance in the first stage showed that the interaction effect of seed deterioration × nano-silicon had a significant effect on the percentage, speed, and coefficient of germination rate, average germination time, and the number of soft seeds.
