چکیده مقاله:
As far as we know marriage is the most basic relationship between human and family and it had been known one of the crucial pillars of society fortheremore the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and marital satisfaction of spouses. The present research method was descriptive-correlation type. The statistical population of this research included all married men and women of Zahedan city which ۱۰۰ of them were selected as a sample using convenient sampling method. The participants filled the Spanier's Marital Adjustment Questionnaire (DAS), Goleman's Emotional Intelligence, and Interactional Behavior Questionnaire. To analyze the data Pearson's correlation coefficient was used. The result reveulted that emotional intelligence had a significant positive relationship with marital satisfaction. Also, the analysis of mutual behavior had a strengthening role in the relationship between emotional intelligence and marital satisfaction. Results demonstrated that indirect relationship between emotional intelligence and marital satisfaction was important through the mediation of mutual behavior analysis. Considering the impact of emotional intelligence on the relationships between style of behavior and communication patterns in couples, strengthening of emotional intelligence improve the relationships of couples and increases their marital satisfaction.
