چکیده مقاله:

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of storytelling and teaching creative painting in fostering children's creativity. The research method enjoyed a clinical trial study with an experimental as well as control group (pre-test, treatment, post-test). The statistical population included many ۴ to ۶-year-old kindergarten children in Zahedan. Among whom, thirty children were selected as a sample using available sampling method and were randomly divided into three equal groups, ۲ experimental groups of creative painting education (girls: ۴, boys: ۶) and the experimental group related to creative storytelling (girls: ۷, boys: ۳) as well as a control group (girls: ۴, boys: ۶). The measurement tool was Torrance Creative Thinking Questionnaire (Form B). The experimental groups received ۸ sessions of creative drawing and creative storytelling training separately, but the control one did not receive any intervention. Upon collecting the data from the questionnaires in the post-test stage, the research hypotheses were analyzed using the statistical methods of multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) and repeated measures analysis of variance (Repeated measure). The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of creativity in post-test stage, so that teaching creative painting and creative storytelling had a positive impact on increasing children's creativity. Also between these two methods, creative painting education had a greater impact on children's creativity than storytelling.
