چکیده مقاله:
Background and Purpose Job stress occurs when there is a lack of coordination between the requirements of a job and the abilities and preferences of an individual. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy of Lazarus' multifaceted psychotherapy in reducing occupational stress and improving the social adjustment of working women in the workforce. Method For this study, a semi-experimental approach was used with a pre-test and post-test design, along with a control group. Using an available sampling method, ۲۵ women who exhibited low levels of adaptation were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups. The evidence was then replaced. The experimental group participated in group meetings for ۸ sessions of ۱۲۰ minutes, while the control group did not receive any intervention. The research conducted in June ۲۰۲۳ in Shiraz City focused on working women as the statistical population. To collect data, Bell's social adjustment questionnaire (۱۹۶۱) and the standard job stress questionnaire created by Esipo and Spokane (۱۹۸۷) which includes ۶۰ items and ۶ components were used. Findings It has been found that a considerable number of working women experience stress, with ۸.۶۲ % of them having moderate stress and ۵.۳۶ % having severe stress. The relationship between job stress and the quality of life of women working is significant. Additionally, there is a significant association between quality of life and social adjustment. The result of the research showed that multifaceted therapy based on the Lazarus approach is an effective psychological intervention for reducing job stress and improving social adjustment.
