Prediction of Academic Goal Orientation Base on Cognitive Fusion and Social Adjustment with Mediation of Perceived Social Support in Students of Islamic Azad University of Zanjan Branch

The goal of this research is predicting academic goal orientation based on cognitive fusion and social adjustment with a mediation of Perceived social support in the students of Azad university of Zanjan. The statistical population includes all students of Zanjan Azad University, which is ۸۵۰۰ people. The sample size obtained from Cochran’s formula includes ۳۷۰ people. To collect data, scales of cognitive fusion and social adjustment and questionnaires of an academic goal orientation and Perceived social support were used. For data analysis path analysis method (structural equation method) was used with the help of AMOS software. The results of this analysis showed that Perceived social support has a significant role on the Relationship between academic goal orientation and cognitive fusion and social adjustment. In the fact, the results showed that coefficients of obtained path from the software to investigate the relationship between the variables of cognitive fusion and social adjustment with the variable of perceived social support is ۶۳%. Also, the path coefficient related to the relationship between the variables of cognitive fusion and social adjustment and the variable of perceived social support with the variable of academic goal orientation is ۶۸%.
