Effectiveness the Philosophy for Children Training on Satisfying Psychological Needs in the Framework of Self-Determination Theory

چکیده مقاله:
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of philosophy for children training on satisfaction of psychological needs within the framework of the self-determination theory of girl students of the third elementary grade of Kerman city in academic year ۹۷-۹۸. Semi-experimental Method was used for this purpose. Statistical society consists of girl students of the third elementary grade. The third of ۵۰ persons was selected by simple random sampling method from this society (۲۵ persons in experimental group and ۲۵ person in control group). Implementing the scale of psychological needs of children, self- determination questionnaire – Deci and Ryan (۱۹۹۳) – in experimental and control groups showed that there is no significant difference between groups prior to teaching of philosophy program for children. The program was conducted in experimental group during ten sessions (each session was ۵۵ minutes). To determine the meaningful of the group’s effect on the components of the psychological needs (Autonomy, competence and belonging) from Pillai’s test, Lambda Wilkes and Halting were used. The results of Pillai’s test (F (۹,۲۸۸), P=۰.۰۰۰۱, F=۳.۶۱) Lambda Wilkes (F (۹,۹.۲۸۸) P=۰.۰۰۰۱, F=۴.۰۴) and Halting (F (۹,۲۷۸), P=۰.۰۰۰۱, F=۴.۴۰) show that there is a significant difference between two groups of experimental and control at least in one component of psychological needs. (Autonomy, Competence and Belonging).
