CYCLAN: A Computer Program for Modular Investigation of Rankine Cycle

CYCLAN is an easy, practical and calculative as well as demonstrative program which has been developed to analyze variety of modified rankine cycles. The program has its own library of modules with necessary user's guide for proper selection of modules. The program is applicable for any number and arrangement of feed water heaters and one reheat line which is common in actual powerplant designs. Although CYCLAN is mainly design oriented, its demonstrative properties gives it strong ability to be used for instructional and teaching purposes in thermodynamics and steam powerplant courses. Program is dynamic, extendable and flexible enough to go through very detailed structure of steam powerplant. The program easily runs on an IBM compatible PC with the aid of Quick Basic Compiler.
