Resolvers are versatile electromagnetic transducers that excel inproviding position and velocity feedback for a diverse range ofapplications, including light duty, servo, light industrial, and heavy dutysettings. Recognized for their exceptional performance in hightemperature conditions, resolvers, also known as motor resolvers, arefrequently utilized in servo motor feedback systems. Since the resolver isan analog device with continuous electrical outputs throughout a fullmechanical revolution, its theoretical resolution is technically infinite.Due to its straightforward transformer design and lack of built-inelectronics, the resolver is a highly durable option compared to otherfeedback devices. This makes it the optimal choice for applications thatdemand consistent performance in extreme conditions such as hightemperatures, shock and vibration, radiation, and contamination. As aresult, the resolver is the logical solution for encoding shaft angles.
