چکیده مقاله:
Cellular networks, fundamental to contemporary communication, underpin global connectivity and empower diverse sectors. However, this reliance introduces potential threats to the security of LTE, ۲G, and ۳G air interfaces. Ensuring the resilience of cellular networks is imperative for various entities, including network operators, governmental agencies, and businesses. Our work seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of vulnerabilities in different cellular generations, shedding light on potential threats and attack scenarios employed by adversaries. Without introducing novel strategies, our focus is on exposing the intricacies of these vulnerabilities. By elucidating the dynamics of potential risks, we aim to empower stakeholders with the knowledge necessary to fortify defenses. Our contribution lies in presenting a clear understanding of the threat landscape, enabling network custodians to make informed decisions for safeguarding cellular networks. In doing so, we play a crucial role in enhancing the security awareness of these critical communication infrastructures in the face of evolving challenges.
