چکیده مقاله:
This article examines the significance and consequences of the involvement of Kurdish women in public engagement and their role in society. It discusses the historical background, obstacles encountered, and advancements achieved by Kurdish women in their pursuit of equal rights and empowerment. The article also investigates the various avenues through which Kurdish women have actively participated in public life, including politics, education, activism, and entrepreneurship. Drawing from a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, scholarly articles, reports, and case studies, it offers an overview of the experiences of Kurdish women. It analyzes the factors that have influenced their engagement in society, such as cultural norms, political dynamics, armed conflicts, and social movements. The findings demonstrate that Kurdish women have played a significant part in challenging traditional gender roles and advocating for their rights within their communities. They have actively participated in political decision-making processes at local, regional, and national levels. Furthermore, Kurdish women have played a crucial role in promoting education among girls and young women as a means to enhance their economic and social empowerment. The article also highlights the obstacles faced by Kurdish women in their pursuit of equality, including patriarchal attitudes prevalent in society, limited access to resources and opportunities due to economic disparities, violence against women, discrimination based on ethnicity or religion, and political instability. Despite these challenges, Kurdish women have made notable progress in attaining gender equality. Their involvement has resulted in policy changes that foster gender mainstreaming within institutions. Additionally, they have established grassroots organizations to address issues such as preventing domestic violence, improving healthcare access for marginalized communities, and promoting economic empowerment.
