Effects of Dietary Supplementation of arginine-silicate- Inositol and Phytase Complex on Egg Quality, Egg Shell Strength, and Blood Biochemical Characteristics of Laying Hens

This study aimed to determine the effects of Arginine silicate inositol complex (ASI; Arg=۴۹.۴۷ %, silicone=۸.۲ %, inositol=۲۵%) supplementation on egg quality, shell strength, and blood biochemical traits of laying hens, as well as the effects of substituting inositol with varying concentrations of phytase on the traits as mentioned above. ۹۰ Lohmann Brown laying hens, ۲۶ weeks old, were randomly distributed in ۶ treatments with ۳ replicates (cage) and ۵ birds per replicate. The isocaloric and isonitrogenic diets are used according to the age period requirements of the Lohmann Brown Classic management guideline. The treatments were as follows: ۱ST treatment T۱: received basal diet without additives, T۲ received basal diet +۱۰۰۰ mg/kg arginine-silicate mixture (۴۹.۵±۸.۲ % respectively),T۳ received basal diet +۱۰۰۰ mg/kg arginine-silicate- inositol (ASI) mixture (۴۹.۵, ۸.۲ , ۲۵ % respectively), T۴ received basal diet +۱۰۰۰ mg/kg arginine-silicate mixture (۴۹.۵±۸.۲% respectively) +۵۰۰   FTU/kg, T۵ received basal diet +۱۰۰۰ mg/kg arginine-silicate mixture (۴۹.۵±۸.۲% respectively) +۱۰۰۰   FTU/kg and T۶ received basal diet +۱۰۰۰ mg/kg arginine-silicate mixture (۴۹.۵±۸.۲% respectively) +۱۰۰۰   FTU/kg +۲۰۰۰   FTU/kg. Results indicate a significant increase (P<۰.۰۵) in the relative yolk weight in T۴, T۵, and T۶ (۲۶.۹۳, ۲۶.۸۳, ۲۶.۷۷%) compared to T۱ (۲۵.۸۴%) and a significant increase (P≤ ۰.۰۵) in T۴, T۵ compared to T۳ (۲۶.۰۲%), while no differences observed between T۲ (۲۶.۱۷%) compared to other experimental treatments. The relative albumin weight significantly decreased (P≤۰.۰۵) in phytase supplementation treatments T۴, T۵, and T۶ (۶۳.۲۱, ۶۳.۰۵, ۶۳.۲۲%) compared to T۱, T۲, T۳ (۶۴.۹۹, ۶۴.۳۰, ۶۴.۰۸%), while a significant decrease (P≤۰.۰۵) observed in T۳ compared to T۱. The relative shell weight significantly increased (P≤۰.۰۵) in T۳, T۴, T۵, and T۶ (۹.۹۰, ۹.۸۶, ۱۰.۱۲, ۱۰.۰۲%), respectively, compared to T۱, T۲ (۹.۱۷, ۹.۵۳%) with a significant increase (P≤۰.۰۵) in relative shell weight in T۲ compared to T۱. The eggshell thickness significantly increased (P≤۰.۰۵) in T۳, T۴, T۵, T۶ treatments (۰.۴۰۹, ۰.۴۰۸, ۰.۴۱۱, ۰.۴۱۳ mm), respectively compared to T۱, T۲ (۰.۳۸۴, ۰.۳۹۱ mm). A significant increased (P≤۰.۰۵) was observed in eggshell thickness in T۲ compared to T۱. A significant increase (P≤۰.۰۵) was observed in the egg shell breaking strength in T۳ and T۵ treatments (۵۹.۴۰, ۵۸.۸۳) compared to T۱ and T۲ (۴۶.۲۰, ۴۸.۲۳). No significant differences were observed between T۴ and T۶ (۵۳.۹۰, ۵۳.۵۷) compared to other experimental treatments. Non HDL, calcium, and phosphorus levels in blood serum significantly increased (P≤۰.۰۵) in T۳, T۴, T۵, and T۶ treatments compared to T۱ and T۲ treatments.
