The effectiveness of Rogers's client-centered therapy on resilience and hope of women who committed suicide

Suicide is a serious problem all over the world and it is one of the most serious concerns that may face by teenagers and juveniles. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of client-centered therapy on resilience and hope of women who committed suicide. This is an applied and semi-experimental study which conducted a multiple baseline single-case study in ۳ women who tried to commit suicide and were selected through purposive sampling. The data were gathered using Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Snyder state hope scale in ۳ phases of baseline, intervention and follow-up and then were analyzed using graphical analysis and improvement percentage. The result showed that from beginning of the treatment sessions, an increasing trend was observed in the participants score in psychological resilience and hope and this additive trend was almost maintained during treatment and follow-up. The findings show that person-centered therapy has been effective in improving and increasing cognitive resilience and hope of women who committing suicide.
