چکیده مقاله:

Background and Objectives: Dextrocardia is a rare congenital disorder in which the heart is located on the right side of the chest cavity. It may occur alone or with reversal of the position of other organs (called total inversion). The purpose of this study is to investigate the best approach of Dextrocardia patient with mitral valve problem.Materials & Methods: We systematically searched the five scientific databases including PubMed, Cochrane, Web Of Science, Embase and Google scholar inception until August ۲۰۲۲ with five-related Key words: Dextrocardia, Mitral valve, Thoracotomy, Sternotomy, and Situs solidus To ensure the completeness of the search results, the sources of the articles were checked. Strobe checklist was used to check the quality of the articles.Findings: A total of ۶۲ articles were reviewed and finally ۱۸ articles were selected that were related to the purpose of the study. Studies have shown that Dextrocardia often associated with multiple complex congenital heart malformations with severe mitral regurgitation is a rare clinical presentation that poses surgical challenges and requires specific preoperative planning. The prevalence of arrhythmias in patients with dextrocardia was significantly higher.there are several treatment options but their outcome and prognosis are different.Using the transseptal approach with a median sternotomy to replace the mitral valve prosthesis is one of the successful treatment methods but the method of repairing the mitral valve of the transapical beating heart in a patient with dextrocardia is a minimally invasive, simple, safe and satisfactory methodConclusions: The obtained results show that cardiac surgery for acquired valvular disease in patients with right cardiomyopathy is very rare. Surgical cases of mitral valve replacement and tricuspid annuloplasty, and transapical repair of the beating heart mitral valve in right heart patients are among the treatment modalities.
